banshee is under active development: collectors will keep changing, and a version you publish will likely need adjustments. For stable use, wait for version 1.0.0.

Watch: above

watch.above raises when a value is strictly above a threshold; with ahead, before the threshold is crossed, by the trend of the value. Here, the space used on /.

How to read it

  • array('warning' => 80, 'critical' => 90): the default thresholds, in the unit of the output (%). Each one is optional; left empty, its level is not judged. Critical is judged first: 95 raises critical, not both.
  • 'ahead' => '7 d': the value judged is the one the trend of this measure reaches in seven days, "full within a week". It needs the history of the measure: until it has learnt it, the watch raises nothing and says it is learning.
  • Strictly above: 80 does not raise a warning set at 80, 80.1 does.
  • for makes a watch wait before it raises: see examples/mechanics/durations.

To adapt it

  • Any number fits: a load, a temperature, a response time.
  • A value that must not fall is watch.below (see examples/watches/below).
